EVs by Budget: Which Models Can You Buy, New and Used

EV prices in Thailand moved several times in 2026: up when the first round of government support ended, and down during the Motor Show. So this page gives approximate price ranges to show which group your budget falls into. Then check real prices with the showroom or in listings.

Up to 300,000 baht: a used EV

At this budget there is no normal-sized new EV to choose from yet, but you can get a used EV two to six years old.

  • Neta V and V-II, 2022 to 2024: about 200,000 to 280,000 baht. The cheapest, but read about this brand's service center situation first.
  • MG ZS EV, 2020 to 2021: from about 270,000 to 300,000 baht. One of the first electric SUVs in Thailand. The battery is smaller than current models and the cars are getting old, so check battery health carefully.

Every car in this budget needs a battery check at a service center first. See how in Buying a used EV: what to check first.

  • BYD Atto 3, 2022 to 2024: about 390,000 to 520,000 baht. A family-size SUV, large 60 kWh battery version.
  • BYD Dolphin, 2023 to 2024: about 340,000 to 440,000 baht.
  • ORA Good Cat, 2022 to 2023: about 320,000 to 470,000 baht. This model is reported to be no longer sold new in Thailand, so ask a service center about parts first.
  • MG ZS EV, 2022 to 2023: about 420,000 to 490,000 baht.

For the same budget, you can choose between a small new car with a full warranty, or a used car one size up with a bigger battery. If you drive long distances or use the car for the whole family, a larger used model fits better. If you drive in the city and want a full warranty, a new car gives more peace of mind.

How to read these tables without getting it wrong

  • Prices are approximate ranges as of early October 2026, compiled from motoring media and listings. Sources do not agree with each other, and campaigns change every month. Ask the showroom for the real price.
  • NEDC range is higher than real-world use. Do not compare one model's NEDC figure with another model's WLTP figure.
  • Do not choose on price alone. Service centers, battery warranty terms and insurance costs affect what you actually pay over the life of the car.
  • A model missing from the tables is not necessarily a bad car. We only included models where price data from several sources was close enough.

Once you have picked a model, read Buying your first EV: what to check before visiting the showroom. And if you are still weighing it against a petrol car, see EV vs petrol: which costs less?

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest EV in Thailand right now?

Small new EVs start at about 350,000 to 400,000 baht, and used EVs start at about 200,000 baht. These are estimates as of October 2026 and change with campaigns.

With 500,000 baht, should I buy a new or used EV?

New gets you a small car with a full warranty. Used gets you a family-size SUV with a bigger battery, but you have to check battery health and the remaining warranty yourself. Choose based on how much space and range you actually need.
